Tottenham fans react on Twitter to Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg reports

A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from Sky Sports suggesting that Spurs are interested in Southampton’s Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Jose Mourinho’s men have been busy this week. Giovani Lo Celso has been signed permanently, while Steven Bergwijn has also been brought in.

If most Tottenham fans were asked what the club still need on deadline day, it is arguably likely that most would like a new striker.

However, it appears that Mourinho has one eye on bolstering his midfield at some stage in the near future.

Sky Sports initially reported that Spurs wanted Hojbjerg on deadline day, but it has now been suggested that the Dane is on Tottenham’s radar for the summer.

News of Tottenham’s reported interest appears to have divided supporters on social media. Some believe that he would be a good signing and provide some additional quality in holding midfield.

Hojbjerg has been a stalwart at St Mary’s for some time, and is, of course, the club’s captain. He has started 22 Premier League games this season.

But others seem much more underwhelmed by the reports. They do not appear to be convinced that he is good enough for Tottenham.

But with Spurs reportedly holding off any potential move until the summer, it would be little surprise if many fans kept an eye on Hojbjerg’s form over the coming months.
