A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Oliver Skipp’s performance during Spurs’ FA Cup defeat on Wednesday night.
Jose Mourinho’s men were beaten on penalties by Norwich City after a 1-1 draw at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. It was a disappointing night for the home side, who would have been optimistic that they would end up cruising into the quarter-final as they took an early lead.

It may have been a disappointing night for Spurs. But there were some positives to be taken from the game. Plenty of fans praised Gedson’s display – despite the crucial miss from 12 yards.

And there have been a number of supporters who have lauded Skipp’s performance in the defeat. The youngster was making only his second start in any competition this season.
And he has certainly staked a claim for more game-time with his display. Whoscored.com shows that he made three tackles during the tie.
He also found a teammate with 59 of his 65 passes. No Tottenham player completed more.
And some felt that Skipp produced the kind of performance that should lead to more opportunities under Mourinho. Several suggested that he was a shining light on a disappointing night for the club.
