Tottenham fans react on Twitter to Lewis Dunk interest reports

A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from The Sun this weekend suggesting that Spurs are interested in Lewis Dunk.

Like so many, Jose Mourinho’s men have made a fairly quiet start to the transfer window. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has joined from Southampton.

But it appears that he is not the only player to captain a Premier League rival in recent times to find themselves reportedly on Spurs’ radar.

According to a report from The Sun, Tottenham are rivalling Chelsea for the Brighton skipper. However, it appears that the race may be over before it has really even begun.

The Sun suggests that Dunk – who is a Chelsea fan – believes that he is set to join the Blues in a £40 million move.

The report has been met by a mixed response amongst the Tottenham fans on social media. Some believe that it is a big shame that Dunk may be heading elsewhere.

He has missed just four league games since Brighton’s promotion. And several fans believe that he would have been a very good addition to Mourinho’s ranks.

On the other hand, there are a number of supporters who are not disappointed to hear that he may be Chelsea-bound.

They have their doubts about his ability to step up a level. And there have been a number of fans who have insisted that they would rather see Tottenham see Dunk’s teammate Ben White instead.
