Tottenham fans react on Twitter to Giovani Lo Celso announcement

A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news that the club confirmed on their official website concerning Giovani Lo Celso.

It has been a fairly quiet window for Spurs so far. Gedson Fernandes was brought in on an 18 month loan earlier in the month. But Jose Mourinho is yet to add another signing to his ranks.

He may be awaiting a second addition, but the club have still been able to announce a signing.

Tottenham have confirmed on their official website that they have taken up the option to sign Lo Celso permanently. He has signed a deal that is set to run until 2025.

Lo Celso has been incredibly impressive for Mourinho’s men in recent weeks. The Spurs fans had to wait some time before they got to see the 23-year-old in action this season due to injury.

But he has definitely been worth the wait. And unsurprisingly, the news that his loan has been turned into a permanent deal has left the Tottenham supporters delighted.

The club announced on the same day that Christian Eriksen has left. But it appears that many Spurs fans feel that they are better off for having Lo Celso for the coming years anyway.

It would have been a big surprise had Tottenham not completed a deal for Lo Celso this month. But the apparent inevitability has not dampened the excitement on social media.
