Tottenham fans react on Twitter to David Brooks interest reports

A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from the Daily Mirror suggesting that Spurs are interested in Bournemouth’s David Brooks.

Tottenham supporters may not be expecting a raft of marquee signings, but there will still be plenty of intrigue surrounding how Jose Mourinho will tackle his first summer window at the helm.

And it appears that he has five names on his shopping list. The Daily Mirror reported this week that he wants Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Kim Min-jae, Timothy Castagne and Callum Wilson.

It was also suggested that Spurs were looking at Wilson’s teammate Brooks following the Cherries’ relegation from the Premier League.

Admittedly, it has been a disappointing season for the Wales international. He has made nine appearances in the top flight, largely due to injury.

Understandably therefore, there is some concern about a potential move for the 23-year-old. But the large majority of Tottenham fans on social media appear to believe that he could be an outstanding signing.

He showed last season just how good he can be. The attacker scored seven goals and provided five assists for Eddie Howe’s men.

It may be a gamble to sign him in the hope that he can stave off injuries and rediscover that form. But there are plenty of Spurs fans who believe that it is a risk worth taking this summer.
