Tottenham fans react on Twitter to Andre Onana move reports

A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to react to reports from The Sun over the weekend suggesting that Spurs want Andre Onana.

The Sun suggested that Mauricio Pochettino has made the Ajax goalkeeper his number one target as Tottenham prepare for life without Hugo Lloris.

Lloris is currently sidelined with injury. But it is, unfortunately, not a huge surprise that Spurs have their eye on his potential replacement. His form has arguably dipped over the last year. And there seem to be a lot more mistakes in his game.

The Sun suggests that £35 million-rated Onana is the man Pochettino wants. Interestingly however, the reports have divided some of the Spurs fans on social media.

Onana did not have the best night when Tottenham beat Ajax in last season’s Champions League semi-final. And some believe that he would not be an upgrade on Lloris.

However, there appear to be a greater number of fans who feel that Onana would be a fantastic target. He is young enough to hold down the number one spot for a long time if he builds on his current promise.

And with some Spurs supporters believing that the time has come to replace Lloris, they hope that Onana is the man to take over from the club captain between the sticks.
