A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from the Daily Mail this week suggesting that Spurs are one of the sides interested in signing Aaron Ramsdale this summer.

It would be no surprise to see Jose Mourinho strengthen his options in goal at the end of the season. The Mail reports that Michel Vorm is likely to leave the club when his short-term deal expires.

The Daily Mail reports that Spurs and Chelsea are looking at Ramsdale as a potential understudy for their respective number ones.

It is noted that Bournemouth will struggle to keep the 21-year-old should they be relegated this season.

Tottenham’s reported interest appears to have divided some of the supporters on social media. It is generally accepted that Ramsdale – who earns £3,000-a-week, according to Spotrac – is a good goalkeeper showing a lot of promise.

However, some have their doubts about whether he will be good enough to significantly improve Spurs’ options.

The likes of Nick Pope and Dean Henderson are suggested as better targets on a couple of occasions. Plenty of Tottenham fans feel that any goalkeeper signing needs to be good enough to potentially replace Lloris – amid concerns over his form – and they have their concerns about Ramsdale right now.

Here is what some of the supporters make of the reports…
