Tottenham fans react on Twitter as Jack Clarke nears Birmingham loan
While Tottenham Hotspur fans were waiting for the club to confirm a couple of notable incomings, it appears that one of the next announcements Spurs now make could involve a departure.
Birmingham Live reports that Jack Clarke is close to completing a loan move to Birmingham City. It is suggested that the winger will likely spend the season at St Andrew’s.

It will be Clarke’s third loan move since arriving at Tottenham last summer. He struggled to make an impact at Leeds United and Queens Park Rangers last term. The 19-year-old failed to make a single Championship start across those spells.
He has however, been involved for Jose Mourinho’s men in pre-season. And by moving to Birmingham, he is set to work under a manager who enjoys a very good relationship with the Spurs boss in Aitor Karanka.

Birmingham Live reports that Spurs spent £10 million to sign him from Leeds in 2019. So you could understand why plenty of Tottenham fans believe it could be a crucial spell for the winger.
He was devastatingly good when he first emerged onto the scene in senior football. However, he is yet to replicate that early form since moving to North London.
In fairness, he has had little opportunity to change games. But Spurs fans will be hoping that Birmingham see a player who Karanka simply cannot leave out while he is there.
Several fans have suggested that it could be a good move for the Tottenham youngster. There are a couple of supporters who have expressed a little disappointment that he is not going to stick around.
But plenty are hopeful that a move to Birmingham could prove to be a turning point for the teenager as he looks to make the grade at Spurs.
Here is how some of the supporters have reacted to the reports…
