Tottenham fans react on Twitter as Dane Scarlett scores four in under-18 win

There appears to be a lot for Tottenham Hotspur supporters to be extremely excited about right now.

But while much of the focus will understandably be on the fortunes of the first-team under Jose Mourinho’s guidance, Dane Scarlett continues to establish himself as one of the most remarkable talents coming through the ranks in North London.

The 16-year-old went into this weekend having scored six goals in seven games in the Under-18 Premier League this term.

With his next performance however, Scarlett has moved himself into double figures.

Tottenham stormed to a 7-0 win over Southampton on Saturday. And the teenager managed to get four of their goals. The club noted on Twitter that three of his goals came with his head.

10 goals in eight games this season is an outstanding return. He also has three assists for the campaign.

And that is why plenty of Spurs supporters are tipping Scarlett for such a brilliant future after his latest appearance.

Of course, Tottenham will be wary of promoting him too early while he is doing so well. But many fans believe that it could be a matter of time before he – long with Alfie Devine – gets a chance for the under-23s.
