Tottenham Hotspur supporters reacted on Twitter after the club’s Under-23 side beat Wolves 3-2, just over 24 hours after the first team suffered defeat to the Midlands club – and fans are frustrated as Troy Parrott scored in the win.
Parrott, 18, was handed just three minutes as Spurs suffered defeat to Nuno Espirito Santo’s side – despite taking the lead twice through Steven Bergwijn and Serge Aurier. It was a meaningful defeat in the race for the top four.
In his analysis of the match, Arsenal icon Ian Wright stated that he was “gutted” for Parrott following his cameo role – suggesting he should have been given more of a go by Jose Mourinho. He proved that on Monday night.

Parrott opened the scoring in a Premier League 2 clash against Wolves, after good work from Mauricio Pochettino’s son, Maurizio. The latter squared the ball to Parrott who did well to tap home on the stretch.
Another teenage talent in Jeremie Mukendi made it two, before Pochettino got a goal of his own to make it three before half-time. Wolves came roaring back in the second 45, scoring twice – but Spurs held on.
However, Tottenham fans are frustrated to see Parrott score once again for the Under-23 side, but fail to be given a chance in the first team – especially with Harry Kane sidelined. Spurs fans reacted to his goal on Twitter.
