Mauricio Pochettino wants to bring Youcef Atal to Tottenham Hotspur this January, according to a report by The Daily Star.
Pochettino is set for showdown talks regarding his Tottenham future after a poor start to the season. But he is expected to receive the backing of the board and he will outline his January transfer plans.
The Spurs gaffer wants to sell a number of players in a major squad clear-out. But he is also eager to sign two new players. One of them is Atal and the other is Juventus attacker Paulo Dybala.

Atal currently plays in Ligue 1 for OGC Nice. The Algeria international, who won the AFCON, has scored once in seven games this season. This takes his overall Nice tally to seven goals in 37 games.
The 23-year-old is an attack-minded right-back, who can also play on the wing, and he has experience in Belgium too. Spurs could try to sign him and offload Serge Aurier.
Atal would compete with Kyle Walker-Peters at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium if Pochettino’s plan works. Here are some Spurs fans reacting to the Atal rumours.
