Tottenham fans react as West Ham reportedly in talks to sign Chelsea man

West Ham are reportedly in talks to raid Chelsea and sign defender Kurt Zouma. That is, despite Zouma being linked with Tottenham. The Hammers are willing to pay Chelsea a fee of £20million. Tottenham fans have reacted to the news – amid reports he is on Fabio Paratici’s shortlist.

Zouma, 26, was in and out of the Chelsea side last season. The France international played 24 of Chelsea’s 38 Premier League games – with competition at centre-back aplenty. The likes of Thiago Silva, Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger reduced his game time.

A move this summer is on the cards. Sky Sports report that West ham are in talks, and are ready to pay £20million – though Chelsea believe he is worth more. It comes after Fabrizio Romano claims Zouma is one of a number of back-up options on Paratici’s radar at Tottenham this summer.

What have Tottenham fans said about West Ham looking at Zouma?

Tottenham’s main objective, of course, is getting a deal over the line for Argentina international and Copa America winner Cristian Romero. But it is a complicated deal, and an expensive one at that – with the best part of £50million likely to change hands if Spurs do finally nab his signature.

While Chelsea want more than £20million for Zouma, he would certainly be a lot cheaper than Romero. Tottenham fans have given their reaction on Twitter to the news that West Ham are looking to lure Zouma across Chelsea – from West to East – and many believe it is a “bargain”.
