West Ham United are reportedly considering a shock January move to bring Christian Eriksen back to London from Inter Milan after a poor year under Antonio Conte – and Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted to the news on Twitter.
Eriksen, 28, clocked up more than 300 appearances for Spurs during his seven-year spell at the club – most of which was under Mauricio Pochettino. But he wanted a move and his last year at Spurs was poor, leaving a bad taste in the mouth.
Nevertheless, he is well-admired by Spurs fans. However, the grass is not always greener and since his move to Inter, 103-time Denmark international Eriksen has failed to show Spurs what they have been missing.

Indeed, Eriksen has fallen down the pecking order – clocking up just 36 appearances in all competitions and scoring only four goals in that time. A return to England has been touted – particularly a return to Spurs or even to north London rivals Arsenal.
But Eurosport have suggested another London club could now make an offer – in the form of Tottenham’s rivals West Ham. A potential loan offer could come in from the Hammers for Eriksen, who have recent history with Inter.
David Moyes signed Joao Mario from Inter Milan on loan in January 2018 and a similar move could occur here. Indeed, Spurs supporters have reacted to the potential return of Eriksen, but this time in claret and blue.
