Tottenham are being linked with Italy international Andrea Belotti from Serie A club Torino – and some of their fans on Twitter are desperate to see him move to North London this summer.
Sky Italy journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has reported on his official website that Jose Mourinho’s side have made their first move for the 26-year-old and seen it rejected.
It is claimed that Spurs offered to sign the centre-forward on loan and included an option to buy for £46.3million.
But the report details that Serie A side Torino have turned down that approach and would only consider allowing his exit if it was a definitive cash sale.
Spurs are currently on the search this summer to sign a new forward that can compete with their talisman Harry Kane, as he’s currently the only senior option in the squad and they risk burning him out with so many fixtures.
Belotti is the main man at Torino and the prospect of having him paired with Kane is an exciting one.
Belotti scored 22 goals in 44 games across all competitions last season for a side that were flirting with relegation in Serie A, so his numbers would surely only rise with better service.

A selection of Spurs supporters on social media believe that Belotti is exactly the type of signing the club need to make and one urged chairman Daniel Levy to make sure a deal is sorted.
