Tottenham are reportedly interested in a potential move for Southampton forward at the end of the season – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter have responded by claiming he’d be a great addition for them.

Eurosport reports that Spurs are currently eyeing the striker’s situation, as he stalls on a new contract with Southampton.

It is explained that Jose Mourinho’s side may reignite interest in the 28-year-old after showing interest in him last summer.

The report explains that any bid from Spurs would come next summer, but it’s dependent on what happens with his contract situation.

Ings has had a stop-start season so far due to injuries, but he’s still managed seven goals in just 13 league games for an impressive Southampton outfit.

The centre-forward was recalled to the England squad in 2020 for the first time in five years and he’s playing some of the best football of his career right now with the Saints.

He’s a striker that is clinical around the box with an array of different kind of goals. Plus, he possesses great work-rate, intelligent movement and real composure.

A selection of Spurs supporters on social media believe that Ings would be ideal for them.

They currently have Harry Kane as their talisman in attack, while on-loan Brazlian Carlos Vinicius has been his understudy this season.

The Southampton attacker would surely not even contemplate a big transfer if he wasn’t guaranteed regular starting minutes, which is why a move to compete with Kane could be a big stumbling block.
