Tottenham fans react as Tanguy Ndombele ruled out of Wolves clash

Tanguy Ndombele is one of five Tottenham Hotspur players who will miss the trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash – and Spurs fans are frustrated with the summer signing’s injury.

Ndombele, 22, is currently sidelined with a groin problem which saw him miss the trip to Bayern Munich and the 5-0 win over Burnley. It comes after a difficult start to life under Jose Mourinho, following Mauricio Pochettino’s sacking.

After scoring on his debut against Aston Villa in a 3-1 win, Ndombele has failed to live up to his £60million price tag. So far, it is clear that Mourinho prefers the likes of Harry Winks, Moussa Sissoko and Harry Winks – the latter who has overcome injury.

Tottenham confirmed that five players are set to miss the Wolves clash, which promises to be a difficult encounter given Wolves’ excellent start to the campaign. Ben Davies, Hugo Lloris, Michel Vorm, Erik Lamela and Ndombele are missing.

Mourinho is likely to use Winks, who has returned to training after an ankle injury. Dier, Sissoko and even Oliver Skipp are options – the latter making a substitute against Bayern Munich, as did Victor Wanyama during the 3-1 defeat.

Tottenham fans reacted to the injury update which ruled Ndombele out of action with a groin problem, and many are becoming frustrated by the France international who is becoming somewhat injury prone.
