Tottenham fans react as Tanguy Ndombele issues response on Instagram

Tanguy Ndombele has responded on Instagram after being asked whether he would prefer a move to Barcelona or Paris Saint-Germain amid reports over an exit – and Tottenham Hotspur supporters have reacted on Twitter.

Ndombele, 23, joined Tottenham last summer in a club-record move from Lyon – believed to be in the region of £60million. He has since played 27 times in all competitions, scoring two goals and creating four more efforts.

However, he has been in and out of the side under Jose Mourinho and the new Spurs boss is clearly not the France international’s biggest fan. Indeed, Mourinho publicly slammed Ndombele in the media after a 1-1 draw against Burnley.

With his future in doubt under Mourinho, reports of a move away from the club have surfaced and the powerful midfielder was asked on Instagram if he would prefer Barcelona or PSG – and responded with a two-word verdict: “Keep lying”.

According to The Mirror, La Liga giants Barcelona want to hand Ndombele a way out of Tottenham this summer, with Ivan Rakitic expected to leave the club in the coming months. French outlet Foot Mercato have claimed PSG also want Ndombele.

Tottenham supporters caught wind of Ndombele’s honest verdict, and responded in very much a mixed manner. Some believe he is likely to leave, while others are desperate to keep the midfielder.
