Teenage striker Troy Parrott has signed a new long term deal with Tottenham Hotspur, the club has confirmed on its official website.
Parrott’s new contract will run until 2023 and comes on the back of a season where he has made his full international debut as well as two Premier League appearances.
Tottenham went through the transfer window without signing a striker to offer backup to Harry Kane and that has led to plenty of fans on Twitter urging their club to play Parrott now he’s committed his future.
Jose Mourinho is famously reluctant to offer young players too much gametime but has pushed Japhet Tanganga forward in recent weeks; now the fans want to see the same with Parrott.

That was the theme of the replies when Spurs announced the news on their official Twitter page as many fans were absolutely buzzing.
Parrott’s talent looks to have captured the imagination and with it being so hard for Spurs to sign a new experienced frontman because they know they will play second fiddle to Harry Kane when he’s fit, using an academy graduate to fill the void could well be the best approach.
