Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to sanction a straight swap to sign Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic if Bayern Munich do not complete a permanent move for the Croatian – and Spurs fans have reacted on Twitter.
Perisic, 31, is stuck in limbo somewhat. He joined Bayern Munich last summer on loan for the 2019-20 campaign, and he enjoyed an excellent campaign in the Bundesliga – winning the German title under Hansi Flick.
Making 31 appearances for Bayern, the 88-time Croatia international had a hand in 16 goals – scoring six and creating 10 more. Earlier this week, FC Inter News claimed Bayern had told him he would be signed permanently.

But the report states since the end of the season, Bayern have been silent and it has lead to doubts over a permanent deal for Perisic. It was claimed Perisic’s agents were considering a move to Tottenham – or Manchester United.
Now, CalcioMercato claim Tottenham are keen to land the 2018 World Cup finalist and are ready to sanction a straight swap for Perisic – which would see Erik Lamela go the other way, seven years after he joined Spurs.
Signed by Andre Villas-Boas, Lamela remains one of the club’s longest-serving players but he is on the fringes of Jose Mourinho’s side. Tottenham fans, therefore, reacted to a potential swap by urging their club to get a deal done.
