Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to the news that Moussa Sissoko and Tanguy Ndombele have both been left out of the latest France squad by Didier Deschamps.

The midfield pair have not been included for the upcoming friendly against Ukraine and Nations League clashes with Portugal and Croatia.

N’Golo Kante, Paul Pogba, Eduardo Camavinga, Steve Nzonzi, Adrien Rabiot and Corentin Tolisso have all been selected by the 51-year-old.

The specific reasons for the pair being omitted have not yet been explained by Deschamps, nor have there been any reports about the situation.

But for Spurs, £30 million signing Sissoko (BBC Sport) has not had a huge impact so far, making only thee appearances for a toal of 195 minutes of pitch time.

Ndombele has made six appearances totalling 281 minutes.

It has been speculated that it could just be a question of fitness with the two players.

Sissoko has tended to be quite a frequent pick for France by Deschamps, while £63 million signing Ndombele (BBC Sport) hasn’t played for his country since November 2019.

Whatever the specific reasons, Spurs fans were actually very pleased that the pair will now have some time to get into peak condition.
