Tottenham fans react as Ryan Sessegnon suffers injury setback

Tottenham Hotspur fans will have to wait even longer before seeing summer signing Ryan Sessegnon in action. The club has issued an injury update and noted that Sessegnon has suffered a setback in his recovery.

It was another disappointing injury update for Spurs fans ahead of the Champions League opener against Olympiakos. Juan Foyth did not travel while Giovani Lo Celso and Sessegnon are definitely ruled out.

Sessegnon has been injured since his deadline day move from Fulham. He recently returned to training but now there has been a setback. The England U21 player has reported “irritation” with his previous hamstring injury when undergoing an assessment.

This is likely to keep the 19-year-old sidelined for the next few games at least. In his absence, Danny Rose and Ben Davies will jostle for the left-back spot. Spurs are also one short on the wing as Sessegnon can play there too.
