Tottenham flyer Ryan Sessegnon claimed a first assist during his loan spell at Hoffenheim at the weekend, setting up Ihlas Bebou to equalise against Mainz.

Sessegnon has operated at left-back during the last two games but has also been utilised on the left-wing during his time with the Bundesliga outfit.

The England under-21 international was sent out on loan during the summer, having failed to impress last season at Tottenham.

He was signed by Mauricio Pochettino in the summer of 2019 for £25 million from London rivals Fulham.

Sessegnon made 12 appearances and scored one goal last season but failed to impress Mourinho sufficiently.

The decision to loan him out seems a good one though and he will clearly benefit from the regular first-team football.

The speed demon has now started seven games in all competitions and is performing pretty well at his temporary club.

It will be hoped that Sessegnon will continue to play plenty of football and then head back to Tottenham in a strong position to make Mourinho’s team.

Following his first assist for Hoffenheim, the former Fulham player took to Twitter to speak of his delight.

Tottenham fans were quick to react and seem to be happy that Sessegnon is performing well.

Here is what Spurs fans were saying in response to the exciting talent.
