Tottenham Hotspur will be without Harry Kane against Everton today, according to Football London.
Kane has picked up an injury and he has not travelled to Merseyside for today’s clash at Goodison Park. Mauricio Pochettino has to decide what to do with his star striker out.
The injury remains unspecified and the extent has not been determined yet. It could be a one-week lay-off or it could be something more serious. Either way, it is worrying for Pochettino.
Spurs will be desperate to turn their season around with a win at Everton today. But Kane’s absence limits the firepower in the Tottenham attack. Without him, Spurs do not have an out-and-out senior centre-forward.
Lucas Moura could play up front while Son Heung-Min is another option. Troy Parrott – the 17-year-old Irish striker – is the best-placed academy player to take Kane’s role. But he is more likely to be given a bench role.
Tottenham fans took to Twitter after hearing of Kane’s injury. Here are some tweets discussing this latest setback.
