Italian outlet CalcioMercato have claimed that Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic could be sent out on loan by Zinedine Zidane in the January window to get some game time – and Tottenham fans have reacted on Twitter.
Real Madrid completed the £54million (Guardian) acquisition of Jovic, 21, in the summer from Eintracht Frankfurt after the Serbian ace scored 36 goals in 75 Frankfurt games – and helped them reach the Europa League semi-final.
However, since his move to Real, Jovic has found it difficult with enormous competition for a place in Zidance’s side taking its toll. The likes of Rodrygo, Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Jovic are looking to be included in the side.
It means some players are going to miss out and so far, Jovic has had to make do with coming off the bench. Of his 13 Real Madrid appearances this season, Jovic has started just four times – only one of which has come in La Liga.
Benzema, meanwhile, remains first choice and is close to the form of his life. The Frenchman has netted 16 goals in 21 games, taking his overall tally at Real to 238 goals in 486 Real Madrid matches – quite astonishing then, that Benzema is still only 31.
Tottenham fans have reacted to the reported news that Jovic is available for loan next month with Spurs in desperate need of cover for Harry Kane. Many Spurs fans want Jovic, who has been previously linked, at their club.
I’d take him 💯

Would love it. However the benches in the new White Hart Lane are better than the one's in bernabeu
