Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga has urged Jose Mourinho to consider a move to sign Boca Juniors midfielder Jorman Campuzano – and Spurs fans reckon he is just what the north London club needs.
Spurs are expected to be busy in this summer’s transfer window, whenever the market opens. Indeed, a central midfielder could be signed this summer by Jose Mourinho with Tanguy Ndombele failing to fill Mousa Dembele’s void.
Gazzaniga was asked by Argentine outlet TYC Sports that if he was to suggest any player from Argentina that Jose Mourinho could sign this summer, he would suggest Boca Juniors midfielder and Colombia international Campuzano.
“If Mourinho asks me for a reinforcement of Argentine soccer, I tell him to bring Jorman Campuzano,” Gazzaniga said. The midfielder has impressed since moving to Argentine league leaders Boca Juniors from Atletico Nacional.

Spurs do have plenty of options in the middle of the park. But delve a little deeper, and Spurs might need another central midfielder. Eric Dier has moved into defence of late, while Oliver Skipp probably needs a loan spell away from the club.
Tanguy Ndombele has not impressed Jose Mourinho, hammering the club’s record signing in the media after a 1-1 draw against Burnley. Gio Lo Celso, Harry Winks, Moussa Sissoko, Dele Alli and Gedson Fernandes are also options.
Tottenham supporters have reacted on Twitter to the news that Gazzaniga has suggested 5ft 7in Argentine hothead Campuzano, who is renowned for being somewhat of a terrier at the base of the midfield. Many are desperate to have him signed.
