Tottenham fans react as Paris Saint-Germain linked with star player

Paris Saint-Germain are still reportedly interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Christian Eriksen with just a matter of days left in the transfer window – and Spurs fans just want rid of the attacking midfielder.

Eriksen, 27, is in the final 12 months of his contract at Tottenham and it looks as though he is unwilling to sign a new deal with Mauricio Pochettino’s side. He has been linked with Real Madrid for much of the summer window.

PSG have been loosely linked but now reliable French outlet Le Parisien have claimed that PSG are still interested in the former Ajax axe, if Neymar leaves to join Barcelona. Eriksen is one of two players who could replace Neymar.

The other is Juventus star Paulo Dybala who came within inches of joining Spurs in the summer, only for image rights to scupper a deal. It is believed that PSG would prefer Dybala, but may turn to Eriksen if they also fail to sign the Argentine.

Pochettino described the atmosphere of his squad as “unsettled” after Sunday’s shock defeat to Newcastle United, and many oundits believe that is because of the situation surrounding Eriksen. But Monday’s deadline is fast approaching.

Tottenham fans are now fed up with Eriksen and are desperate to see him leave, with many of the belief that if he remains at the club this summer then he could begin to have a detrimental effect on squad morale.
