Tottenham fans react as Paratici reportedly tables eight-figure bid for 23-year-old midfielder

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly tabled a £17million offer for Sheffield United midfielder Sander Berge. The Norwegian midfielder is likely to leave the Blades this summer, after the club suffered relegation from the Premier League. Tottenham fans react on Twitter to reports of a Berge offer.

Berge, 23, has endured a tricky spell at Bramall Lane. Joining the club from Genk for £22million in January 2020, Berge has only played 33 times for the Blades since. Injury limited him to just 16 appearances in 2020-21. He played 90 minutes in Sheffield United’s opener in the Championship.

What are Tottenham fans saying about a bid for Berge rejected?

A report from Homme Du Match claims that Tottenham have offered Sheffield United £17million for Berge this summer. Of course, that is £5million less than the Blades paid Genk to sign him for. Sheffield United rate Berge at £35million but it is clear they will have to compromise.

Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to discuss reports that Spurs want to sign Berge – but have seen a £17million offer rejected. They do need additions in midfield with doubts regarding the future of Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko. Tottenham fans want Berge, despite the rejected bid.
