Nouassir Mazraoui starred for Ajax on Tuesday night as The Dutch champions came to the capital to face Chelsea in what proved to be an enthralling Champions League clash – and Spurs fans are impressed with the right-back.
On what was bonfire night, Ajax and Chelsea provided the fireworks for the 39,132 supporters that turned out to watch the clash on a cold Tuesday night. They were rewarded inside just three minutes, with a goal for each side.
Tammy Abraham scored an own goal before Christian Pulisic won a penalty inside three minutes, converted by Jorginho. Ajax then went 4-1 up despite having none of their own fans in the stadium.
Mazraoui shone on the right side of defence, showing both attacking and defensive qualities as Quincy Promes and Donny van de Beek got their names on the score sheet. A Hakim Ziyech free-kick hit the post, bouncing off Kepa and into the net.

At 4-1, Ajax looked as though they were cruising. But a crazy 10 seconds of play with 20 minutes left to go saw Daley Blind and Joel Veltman pick up second yellow cards – and hand Chelsea the chance to score a second from the spot. Jorginho obliged.
Cesar Azpilicueta got a third from close range, before substitute Reece James executed an excellent first-time effort to send Stamford Bridge into raptures. Azpilicueta made it 5-4, only to be ruled out by VAR for a handball.
Mazraoui lasted the entire 90 minutes in his first Champions League appearance of the season, after being a crucial member of the Ajax side that reached the semi-finals last term. Italian outlet AS Roma Live have claimed Spurs want the Moroccan.
With Kieran Trippier sold, Serge Aurier struggling and Kyle Walker-Peters yet to be trusted, the right-back slot is a problem area for Mauricio Pochettino. Tottenham fans watched on, and are desperate to see Mazraoui signed in January.
