Tottenham fans react as Leeds star Kalvin Phillips comments on his future
A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to react to comments made by Kalvin Phillips in May’s edition of FourFourTwo in which the Leeds United star issued an update on his future.
The Daily Express has reported that Spurs are one of a number of clubs chasing Phillips ahead of the summer. It is suggested that Jose Mourinho is a fan of the 24-year-old.

Phillips has been outstanding in the Championship, particularly since Marcelo Bielsa arrived at Elland Road.
Promotion looks to be a must if Leeds are going to hold onto the academy graduate. But even then, some may be concerned about how long they can realistically hold onto ‘the Yorkshire Pirlo’.

Fortunately for Leeds supporters, Phillips has commented on his future – and it appears that he is open to the possibility of never leaving the Whites.
“I want to spend my career at Leeds and see the club doing well in the Premier League,” he told FourFourTwo.
“I’m just enjoying every minute right now.”
Interestingly, the comments have attracted a mixed response from some of the Spurs fans on social media.
Some are sceptical. And it appears that others are worried about what it says about Spurs that he can be linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and potentially find it so easy to dismiss the links.
But several Spurs fans have also lauded Phillips for his comments. They admire his loyalty to his boyhood club and have praised him for opening the door to stay at Leeds for the rest of his career.
Here is what some of the Tottenham fans made of Phillips’s comments…
Great player, would of loved him at spurs, but great to still see some loyalty in football

Gutted, but glad to see he’s loyal

That’s too bad would have liked him here.
Although if that is true and he is happy being on a Championship/relegation team every year of his career maybe not the best player to bring in.

Let’s see if he’s saying that if they have another season or two in the championship
