Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho has put an end to the speculation linking Bruno Fernandes with a move to the club.
The Portuguese discussed the player during his Tuesday press conference before Wednesday’s trip to Old Trafford to face old club Manchester United.

Fernandes has long been linked with a move to north London following a brilliant few years with Sporting CP.
Speculation picked up over the attacking midfielder when fellow countryman Mourinho was named Mauricio Pochettino’s successor two weeks ago, but it would now appear all the noise will amount to nothing.
He told Sport TV (quoted by Daily Mail): “We are not a club that is going to make big transfers in the market, nor is it going towards players who are already developed or at a certain level of expectation, also economically.

“I would definitely say no because Bruno [Fernandes] is a player of a level and value that is not for us.”
Fernandes recently penned a new deal at Sporting that reportedly now means he as a release clause of £85 million.
