Tottenham fans react as Jose Mourinho lands Roma position

Jose Mourinho has made a quick return to football after accepting an offer from Roma to become their new manager from next season. Having only left Tottenham last month, their supporters have been reacting on Twitter.

The Portuguese boss spent 17 months in charge at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium but was sacked by chairman Daniel Levy following an indifferent run of form.

Now, he will return to Serie A where he enjoyed some success previously with Inter Milan. Mourinho will begin work during pre-season ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.

The 58-year-old has also managed Porto, Chelsea, Manchester United and Real Madrid during his managerial career. He also worked on the coaching staff at Barcelona when Sir Bobby Robson was in charge.

Now, Mourinho will aim to revive Roma’s fortunes after being named as the man to succeed Paulo Fonseca who will depart once this season is over.

Roma are currently seventh in the division and were thrashed 6-2 by Manchester United during the first leg of last week’s Europa League tie.
