Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly resigned to Christian Eriksen’s departure.
Eriksen has made it clear to Mourinho that he still wants to leave Tottenham, according to The Telegraph. The 27-year-old has refused to sign a new contract as he wants to try a new challenge.
This has been the case all season with Eriksen’s performances suffering as a result of the situation. After failing to move in January, he is now running down his current deal, which expires in summer 2020.
Mourinho makes contingency plans

Mourinho has accepted that Eriksen is going to be sold. If Tottenham do not sell him in January, he will leave on a free in the summer. Moreover, Mourinho has been told that he needs to sell players to buy others.
The Portuguese boss wants a new striker and a defender so selling Eriksen could fund this. Mourinho is now planning for life without the Denmark midfielder. He might promote from within or think about alternative targets.
Here are some Tottenham fans reacting to this report.
