Tottenham fans react as John Stones set to miss Carabao Cup Final

Tottenham were handed a small boost ahead of Sunday’s Carabao Cup Final against Manchester City. John Stones was sent off against Aston Villa and will now miss the weekend’s contest.

The Citizens defender was shown a straight red card for a high tackle on Villa youngster Jacob Ramsey and must now serve a three-match suspension.

Following the news, Spurs fans have now taken to Twitter to discuss the concept of the England international missing Sunday’s match.

Ryan Mason saw his team get off to a flyer as he took charge for the first time against Southampton. Tottenham won 2-1 against Ralph Hasenhuttl’s team, delighting the interim boss.

Stones has enjoyed a mini resurgence this season, playing regularly under Pep Guardiola and clearly thriving with the vote of confidence.

City are blessed with plenty of quality in reserve but Tottenham fans are still pretty satisfied that Stones will miss out.
