New Tottenham Hotspur signing Jack Clarke scored his first goal back on loan at Leeds United since completing a move to the north London club – and Spurs fans have reacted on Twitter.
Clarke, 18, completed an £8.5million move to Tottenham earlier this summer – becoming Mauricio Pochettino’s first purchase since Lucas Moura from Paris Saint-Germain back in January 2018.
He was immediately loaned back to Leeds until the end of the season, and Clarke showed his class in a pre-season friendly against Tadcaster Albion on Wednesday night – as the Championship side eased to a 5-1 win.
Leeds youngster Ryan Edmondson scored a hat-trick while Robbie Gotts also got on the score sheet. But it was Clarke’s goal that was arguably the pick of the bunch.
Cutting inside from the right flank, Clarke finished a superb Leeds move that saw Gjanni Alioski combine with new signing Helder Costa and Edmondson before Clarke curled an effort into the far corner.

Clarke was left in Yorkshire instead of travelling to Australia, with Marcelo Bielsa choosing to leave new signings and international players behind to continue to work on pre-season training.
Tottenham fans have reacted on Twitter to Clarke’s exquisite goal, as seen above, and many are raving over their new summer signing – one fan even asked if it was too late to reconsider his loan at Leeds this season.
Super finish 😊
