Jack Clarke could reportedly return to Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window as he continues to struggle for game time at Leeds United on loan – and Spurs fans have reacted to the reported interest from Premier League clubs.
Earlier this week, the Daily Mirror claimed that 18-year-old Clarke could have his loan spell at Leeds cancelled. That is after the England Under-20 international has managed just two Carabao Cup appearances all season.
Clarke is an unfortunate victim of the EFL’s five-loan rule. It means clubs in the Football League can only names five loan stars in a matchday squad, and Leeds boast Illan Meslier, Ben White, Jack Harrison, Helder Costa and Eddie Nketiah.

It means not only is Clarke struggling for game time, but he is failing to make the matchday squad. With reports that Spurs could recall him, a report from the Daily Express claims there is Premier League interest in the young winger.
Indeed, it is believed West Ham United, Everton and Crystal Palace are all keeping tabs on Clarke with a view to a move in January. Clarke will be able to play for a new loan side, as he is yet to feature for Spurs.
Tottenham fans reacted to the reports that his loan could be cancelled and move to one of the three interested Premier League sides in the winter window. Spurs fans are bewildered at what is happening with Clarke.
