Heung-Min Son is being linked with a new deal at Tottenham – and some Spurs supporters on Twitter have reacted by urging the club to pay him whatever he wants.
The Daily Mail reports that Spurs are set to turn their attention to the future of the attacker and they want to secure his long-term position with them.
It is understood that negotiations are set to take place and that the winger will be given a sharp increase on his current £150,000-a-week wages.
Son, who is out of contract at the North London club in 2023, is going to be rewarded with an improved deal to recognise his influence on Jose Mourinho’s side and he’s grown into one of the real leaders on the pitch.
The 28-year-old has started the new campaign in sensational for with eight goals in seven games so far, which included a remarkable four-goal haul against Southampton in September.
He’s now just seven goals short of reaching a landmark 100 goals for Spurs and he’s turned out to be an inspired signing from Bayer Leverkusen back in 2015 from ex-manager Mauricio Pochettino.
A selection of Spurs supporters on social media are delighted to hear Son is being lined up for a new contract and have made it clear he deserves to be paid astronomical wages.
Here are some Spurs fans on Son:
We have to keep him, can’t be looking at a scenario in which him and Kane both leave. Would completely screw us
