Tottenham Hotspur have today announced that youngster Harvey White has put pen-to-paper on a new contract with the club.
The versatile performer has played in a number of positions for the under-23s this season and could have a bright future.
During Tottenham’s Premier League 2 campaign he has bagged three goals and registered two assists playing in defensive midfield, left-back, right-back or as a box-to-box central midfielder.
White has also scored in the UEFA Youth League this season and he has been rewarded with a contract until 2023.
The 18-year-old is clearly fancied as a future first-team player and it will be interesting to see if Jose Mourinho has any plans for him.
White will hope to follow the likes of Japhet Tanganga, Oliver Skipp and Harry Winks into the first-team.
Following this afternoon’s news, Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to speak on the youngster and throw their input into the decision of a new contract.
Some have poked fun at the lack of strikers on the books and have been asking when he is getting a run out up top. Others have simply offered congratulations to the youngster.
Here is a selection of tweets from Tottenham fans after White pens a new deal.
Absolutely delighted with this. Top top prospect who can play in multiple positions and this first professional contract is very well deserved after excelling for both the 18s and 23s whenever called upon.

What I've seen of him preseason and in the UEFA youth league looks really impressive. Surprised not to have seen him training more with the 1st team. Apart from Parrot looks the pick to me.

First saw Harvey in the youth match test game for the new stadium and kept mixing him up with Oliver Skipp, really like what I saw. Good news he's signed his contract.
