Tottenham fans react as Harry Kane stars for England

Harry Kane put on a show for England as Gareth Southgate’s men ran riot in Bulgaria.

Ignoring the distasteful scenes off the pitch, Kane captained his side to a 6-0 win. The Tottenham Hotspur striker played his part with three assists and a much-deserved goal at the end.

It was a complete performance from Kane, who linked up well with Raheem Sterling, Ross Barkley and Marcus Rashford on the attack. Operating in the number 9 role and dropping deeper into the 10 role, Kane was impressive.

The 26-year-old floated a lovely cross into the box for Barkley to head in. He also squared for Sterling’s tap-in and provided another assist for the Man City man.

Late in the game, Kane finally got on the scoresheet. He beat the last defender with a deft touch and slotted a left-footed shot past Bulgaria’s goalkeeper. It was his ninth goal in his past 10 England matches.

Kane now takes his England tally to 28 and enters the top 10 scorers of all time. He also showed exceptional leadership in difficult circumstances last night. Tottenham fans were proud and here are some of the best tweets.
