One of Tottenham Hotspur’s four Argentinian players has been selected in the national squad. New boy Giovani Lo Celso received the nod but the other three have been left out.
Juan Foyth’s absence is understandable because he is out injured. Paulo Gazzaniga has also been left out but he is yet to play this season. But Spurs fans feel Erik Lamela should be in the squad.
Lamela was snubbed for the Copa America and once again he has been omitted from the squad. Lionel Scaloni has named a large squad to take on Chile and Mexico in friendlies in early September but there is still no space for Lamela.

The 27-year-old scored at the weekend, firing in from long-range against Manchester City. He also provided the assist for the second equaliser as his corner was headed in by Lucas Moura.
Lamela will be disappointed to miss out on the Argentina squad and Spurs fans were shocked. However, some believe this is a blessing in disguise as he can stay fit by remaining in North London.
Here are some tweets from Tottenham supporters as Lo Celso made the Argentina squad but Lamela was snubbed.
