Gareth Bale will reportedly be available to play for Tottenham against West Ham next weekend – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have gone wild over the speculation.
The 31-year-old returned to Spurs in the transfer window on a season-long loan from Real Madrid and he’s been on the sidelines so far recovering from a knee injury.
According to the Telegraph, Bale will make his first appearance of the season in the home match against West Ham on 18 October.
It is claimed the Welsh attacker will feature in the Premier League fixture after making progress in training and manager Jose Mourinho hopes he can start immediately.
Bale is a fan favourite around North London for his previous spell at Spurs, where he scored 56 goals in 203 appearances for them and turned into a superstar that Madrid ended up signing.
The left-footer has returned to English football after a difficult year in Spain, but he remains a quality player that has won four Champions League medals in his career and he’s received a heroes welcome.
He is entering a side that annihilated Manchester United 6-1 in their last game before the international break and they are currently in great form under Mourinho.

A selection of Spurs supporters on social media are extremely excited about the prospect of seeing Bale back in action for them.
