Son Heung-min was beside himself at Goodison Park on Sunday evening as his tackle saw Everton midfielder Andre Gomes suffer a horrific ankle injury – but Tottenham fans have reacted on Twitter to something Tanguy Ndombele did in the aftermath.
With Spurs leading the tight affair thanks to a moment of brilliance from Dele Alli in the second half, Everton were chasing the game while Mauricio Pochettino’s side were looking to slow the game down and make it to the full-time whistle.
Son tried to bring Gomes down after the Portuguese midfielder had got away, but his tackle forced Gomes into an unnatural position – suffering a fracture and dislocation to his right ankle, which was operated on earlier this week.
South Korea skipper Son was visibly crying and distraught on the pitch, before Martin Atkinson sent off the attacker. Now, video footage has emerged of summer signing Ndombele chasing Son down the tunnel in a bid to console him.
Spurs summer signing Tanguy Ndombele rushing down the tunnel to go and help Son is something you want to see…
A constant positive right now seems to always be Tanguy. What a guy. ⭐️ pic.twitter.com/4Lr2HSHFIi

France international Ndombele had been withdrawn six minutes before Gomes’ injury, being replaced by a fellow new recruit in Giovani Lo Celso. Cenk Tosun finally equalised deep into injury time to rescue a point for the under pressure Marco Silva.
Tottenham fans have caught wind of the footage and have reacted to it on social media, with many applauding the former Lyon star and the Spurs’ club-record signing for his heartfelt bid to help Son.
I rate him so highly

Should still have been in the pitch, but regardless, a class reaction
