Tottenham fans react as Europa League draw takes place

Tottenham Hotspur have this afternoon been drawn to face another away game in the Europa League should they overcome Lokomotiv Plovdiv in the second qualifying round.

Jose Mourinho’s men will face a trip to either Romania to face Botosani or Macedonia to face Shkendija.

The Tottenham boss will fancy his chances of a useful campaign in Europe, having tasted success in the competition before.

It will be the first year for a little while that Spurs have been forced into playing in the competition, having been accustomed to Champions League football.

Tottenham fans do seem quite relaxed by the draw, although with the games being played as one-off ties, they must be wary of any potential banana skin fixtures.

Supporters have been reacting to the news of another away draw on Twitter and plenty seem happy enough at the prospect of facing either of the minnows.

Tottenham lost in the last 16 of the Champions League last season as they were comprehensively beaten by RB Leipzig.

Mourinho will be keen to get off to a good start during 2020/21 and he will hope to ensure a smooth passage to the group stages.
