Tottenham Hotspur target Paulo Dybala has posted a picture of himself with Erik Lamela on his Instagram story.

Dybala and Lamela are currently on international duty with the Argentina national team. Lionel Scaloni selected the pair and they are together in a picture alongside Watford’s Roberto Pereyra.

Late in the summer transfer window, Spurs tried to sign Dybala. But that move fell through on deadline day (as per BBC Sport). Many Spurs fans are optimistic that this deal can be revisited.

Lamela is back in the Argentina squad and Tottenham fans are urging him to have a word with Dybala. Spurs desperately need a turnaround in fortune after a disastrous start to the season and a new marquee signing in January would be a much-needed confidence boost.

Spurs fans are calling their Argentina winger ‘agent Erik’ as they instruct him to get in Dybala’s ear. The 25-year-old, who recently scored against Inter Milan, is currently working his way back into Juventus’ plans.
