Dele Alli has posted a cryptic message on Instagram as his fight to break back into the Tottenham Hotspur side continues under Jose Mourinho – and Spurs fans have responded on Twitter.
Alli, 24, has managed just two Premier League appearances this season – a start against Everton and a substitute appearance at Manchester United – as he struggles to break back into the side under Mourinho.
Mourinho is famed for telling Alli, in front of his teammates, that he is a lazy trainer during the Amazon Prime documentary. But it appears little has changed, with Alli failing to make the bench in six of Spurs’ eight games.
With Alli also missing from the England side once again, as Gareth Southgate prepares his side to face Ireland, Iceland and Belgium, the former MK Dons star posted a four-word message on Instagram.

A resurgent Tanguy Ndombele continues to start over Alli in attacking midfield, while Gio Lo Celso is being used sparingly in the European matches. It leaves Alli with little chance of breaking into the side.
However, Spurs fans are seemingly desperate for Alli to get back in – and have reacted to his Instagram post on Twitter urging him to win a place in Mourinho’s side ahead of the busy Christmas period.
