Some Tottenham Hotspur supporters have been reacting to an admission from Danny Rose that ex-Spurs midfielder Mousa Dembele is the best player he’s ever played with.
The full-back, who completed a January loan move to Newcastle United, is full of admiration for the Belgian, who left the club in January 2019 to join Guangzhou R&F.

Dembele made 249 appearances for Spurs and scored 10 goals and made 12 assists, but it was his brilliant technical and physical abilities that set him apart from other players he played with.
In the eyes of Rose, he is the best he’s ever shared the pitch with.
He said (football.london): “I’ve played with the likes of Luka Modric. There’s also Harry Kane.
“But if I had to pick one it would be Mousa Dembele. Honestly, he’s unreal.”

During his time at Spurs, Dembele was an unsung hero of Mauricio Pochettino’s side, acting as a driving force when he first joined and then converting to more of a disciplined holding midfielder as he got older.
During his pomp, there were arguably no weak areas in his game, and his talents saw him become a firm favourite with the Tottenham faithful.
