Tottenham fans react as Conte reportedly wants £59m-rated midfielder

Antonio Conte has reportedly identified Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella as a potential Tottenham signing – and Spurs fans have reacted.

Barella, 24, has been on fire for Inter over the past couple of seasons. That is, after Conte brought him to Inter – on a loan-to-buy from Cagliari.

Since that move, the 33-time Italy international has become a regular for both club and country. He played in the Euro 2020 final, starting the game.

Over the two and a bit seasons he has been with the Nerrazzuri, Barella has clocked up a huge 101 appearances. A workhorse, with a goal threat.

Not only has he provided the stamina in the engine room, but Barella has scored eight goals and laid on a whopping 27 assists for his side.

The Mail claim that Conte is identifying January targets at Tottenham and Barella is on his list – as well as Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic.

Tottenham need midfield additions, without a doubt. Conte and Fabio Paratici will have identified that that area requires strengthening.

Harry Winks could be sold by Conte, Dele Alli and Tanguy Ndombele are struggling for form. Oliver Skipp has been somewhat mediocre.

Barella would be an enormous improvement. Shining under Conte, Inter currently value Barella at £59million – as per a Sempre Inter report.

Tottenham fans have reacted on Twitter to reports that Barella is a target for their club with Conte in place – and are desperate to see him signed.
