Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ‘poised’ to complete the signing of free agent Joe Hart after the England goalkeeper’s contract expired at Burnley – and Spurs supporters have responded on Twitter.
Hart, 33, has been a free agent since his contract at Burnley expired at the end of last season. In two years at Turf Moor, the 75-time England international managed just 24 appearances as his career continues to dwindle.
Since being ousted by Pep Guardiola at Manchester in 2016, Hart went on loan to Torino and West Ham before completing a permanent Burnley move. Now, he is on the lookout for a new club.

The Telegraph state that Spurs are ‘poised’ to sign Hart, with The Times explaining that Spurs want homegrown players in order to balance the quota. A Premier League team can name 25 players, but only 17 can be overseas.
It meant Jose Mourinho could only name 21 players back in February. With Michel Vorm and Jan Vertonghen leaving, Mourinho has the chance to replace them with homegrown players and Hart is seen as ideal.
The Times report does state that Hart earned £50,000 a week at Burnley and Spurs are unwilling to match that figure, while Ben Foster could also be considered. Spurs fans reacted to the reports on Twitter.
