Tottenham fans react as club reportedly join race to sign Andrea Belotti

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly joined the race to sign Torino captain Andrea Belotti this summer, amid reports he could be sold on the cheap due to his contract situation – and Spurs fans have responded on Twitter to reports they want Belotti.

Belotti, 27, is expected to leave Torino this summer with his current contract due to expire in the summer of 2022. This upcoming window, then, presents the only opportunity for Torino to cash in on Belotti – unless he signs a new contract.

Italian newspaper TuttoSport have suggested that Tottenham and a number of other clubs are interested in signing 32-time Italy international Belotti. Manchester United, Chelsea, Lyon, Atletico Madrid and numerous Italian clubs are said to be keen.

Spurs need a new striker up top. Carlos Vinicius might not be signed permanently by Spurs from Benfica, while Harry Kane continues to be linked with new clubs – including the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid.

Spurs fans reacted on Twitter to the reported news that Tottenham want to sign Belotti – a player Football Italia report could be allowed to go for £30million. Many believe he would be a good signing for the North London side, ahead of the summer window.
