Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in raiding London neighbours Brentford for talented striker Marcus Forss ahead of the January transfer window – and Spurs supporters have responded on Twitter to the news.

Forss, 21, has been in stunning form for Brentford this season after breaking into Thomas Frank’s side of late. Prior to this campaign, three-time Finland international Forss only managed 12 senior outings for the Bees.

But this season, Forss has already clocked up 17 appearances for Brentford – having returned to the club in the summer after netting 11 goals in 18 League One appearances on loan at AFC Wimbledon. Forss has continued scoring at Brentford.

In his 17 games, he has seven goals this season. Five of those have come in the Championship and that has alerted Tottenham. Eurosport claim Spurs are keeping tabs on Forss and are interested in making a January move for the attacker.

However, the report claims Spurs are not by themselves in pursuit of Forss – with Borussia Dortmund also taking a look at the striker as potential competition for Erling Haaland. It remains to be seen how much Forss would cost interested parties.

Tottenham supporters have responded on Twitter to reported news that their club could move for Forss in the January window and many believe he could be a good addition going forward – despite the presence of Troy Parrott.
