Tottenham fans react as club reportedly close to signing of Dani Olmo
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly close to the £22.5million signing of Dinamo Zagreb playmaker Dani Olmo this summer – and Spurs fans are excited at the prospect of Olmo in a white shirt.
Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo have reported that the 21-year-old is ‘close’ to an agreement with Spurs, which will see the north Londoners splash £22.5million on the former Barcelona academy product.
Olmo came through the ranks at the esteemed La Masia academy base, before choosing to make the surprise move to Dinamo Zagreb in 2014. Now, he has over 100 senior appearances for Zagreb and shone last season.
He scored nine goals from attacking midfield and also laid on 12 assists as Zagreb blew away their competitors to finish 25 points ahead of second-placed Rijeka in the Croatian top tier.
His excellent form also Olmo called up to Spain’s Under-21 squad for this summer’s European Championships, and that might just be where he caught Spurs’ eye. Indeed, he scored three goals in four games, including one in the final against Germany.
Tottenham fans have reacted on Twitter to the news that they could make a third signing in the coming days after capturing Tanguy Ndombele and Jack Clarke, and many believe Olmo would be a good signing.

You've got me scrambling to watch the #U21EURO final again. Just watched his 2018/2019 pre-Euros highlights. He is light on his feet and brilliant with the ball at his feet. He glides, picks passes and has a half decent shot on him.
